Ratings After Round 13 Geelong move clear

Posted in Ratings, and Uncategorized

Round 14 2016 FFSS RatingsGeelong are the first team this year to crack the 1700 FFSS rating points barrier. Their rating of 1708 means they would be expected to win a match against an average rated team at a neutral venue about 3 out of every 4 times.

They would be expected to win a match against bottom rated Brisbane at a neutral venue about 19 out of 20 times.

Port’s loss to Freo sees them drop in our estimations. We consider them slightly above average, but not up the class of the top-8. Seeing as they are now effectively 3 competition wins out of the 8 on the ladder, the prediction I1 made after Round 7 that the top 8 was already set, seems to be coming true.

  1. and many others for that matter
